Child safety standards
NederlandsLast updated: 8 October 2026
Chrono has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any content or behaviour that sexualises minors.
Who can use Chrono
Chrono is for people aged 16 and older. Accounts of younger users are deleted as soon as we learn about them.
How to report
- In the app: tap the three dots on a post or profile, or press and hold a comment, and choose "Report" ("Rapporteren").
- Without the app or an account: use our contact form and choose "Safety or illegal content".
- If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency number (112 in Europe) first.
What we do
- We handle these reports first and act within a week.
- We remove the content and permanently remove the accounts involved.
- We report CSAM and child exploitation to the authorities, such as the Dutch police and Offlimits (the Dutch expertise centre for online child abuse), and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where that applies, and we preserve what the law requires for an investigation.
- We comply with the child safety laws that apply to Chrono.
